To maintain EMT certification in New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of Health requires all EMTs to complete 24 hours of refresher training every three years. This training is broken down into three distinct modules:
Each module is 8 hours long and focuses on reinforcing core EMS skills while incorporating the latest protocols, techniques, and best practices in prehospital care.
NOTE: We do not accept NJ State Training Fund for these courses.
To enroll in any EMT Refresher Course, you must hold a valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider certification issued by a Department of Health-approved agency. A full list of accepted certifying agencies can be found at the link below.
