New Jersey EMT Refresher Training

To maintain EMT certification in New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of Health requires all EMTs to complete 24 hours of refresher training every three years. This training is broken down into three distinct modules:

• EMT Refresher A – Airway Management
• EMT Refresher B – Medical Emergencies
• EMT Refresher C – Trauma 

Each module is 8 hours long and focuses on reinforcing core EMS skills while incorporating the latest protocols, techniques, and best practices in prehospital care.

NOTE: We do not accept NJ State Training Fund for these courses.

To enroll in any EMT Refresher Course, you must hold a valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider certification issued by a Department of Health-approved agency. A full list of accepted certifying agencies can be found at the link below.

Please note:

• You must bring a copy of your valid BLS certification card to the course.
• Failure to provide this documentation on the day of training will result in denial of entry to the course.
• No refunds will be issued if you are turned away due to missing or invalid certification.
